Our purpose
Our purpose is to help make sure that every young person and volunteer in Scouts can take part in land activities safely, confidently and with the right support in place.
We work to embed land activites into the program of every section and event across Gwent.
What we do
We support young people to experience adventure through; Climbing, High Ropes, Hiking, Caving and Abseiling!
- Equip adult volunteers with the skills and experience necessary for them to deliver activity sessions to a greater number of young people across Gwent and beyond.
- Support Districts and Groups in delivering land based activites, including but not limited to Hiking, Climbing, Bouldering, High Ropes, Abseiling & Caving.
- Act as a community of good practice for all adults in Gwent who have a ‘land activity’ permit, to enable them to maintain and develop their skills, experience and knowledge.
